Big XII Tourney, here we come

I’m not going to lie…I haven’t posted much recently because I’ve been worried I would jinx our run. 

How ’bout them Cowboys?  Ended the season 6-1, losing their final regular season game to UO, but not without a fight. 

During the game, I tweeted about how the “classy fans in Norman were chanting ‘O-S-U Sucks!’”  I did not mean to cause an uproar, but when that tweet landed on my facebook page, a large discussion broke out.  Just to clarify my point, yes, OSU fans and UO fans all make that same cheer against each other…here are the differences:  OSU fans start the cheer, other, more intelligent fans, yell at them to stop and it ends.  UO fans look at their pony mascots (how do you represent a “cheater” in a costume?) starting the cheer (Pete would NEVER do this), everyone chimes in, and there it is on national television showing how classy those UO fans really are. 

One last tangent…at this point, you have probably decided I just can’t type “OU” correctly.  In all reality, they are the “University of Oklahoma” but go by “OU” which to me = Oklahoma University.   In all of my confusion, UO just makes more sense.

Now back to business…Cowboys play Iowa State at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.  The winner goes on to play UO Thursday night.  It sure would be nice to have another whack at those guys from that school down south.  We’ll just have to see what happens.
